Air Panama Starts Flights to Pedasi

Resumed flights to the airport of Pedasi.

Two years ago Aeroperlas , a subsidiary of Avianca, ceased operations in Panama, tourist destinations like  Pedasi, in the province of Los Santos, left without an air link to the capital city. Not only were affected tourists wishing to travel to the beautiful beaches of Pedasi on a direct flight of 50  minutes. Also seen were the hotels lower their reservations by visitors, which for lack of time, were withdrawing a road run.

Now, Air Panama, the only company to offer domestic flights in the country, has decided to resume air links with three weekly. Company spokesmen said that flights to Pedasi begin on October 18th and will be held on Wednesday, Friday and Sunday.

The airline will use a 12-passenger Caravan aircraft. Air Panama made the request to the International Air Transport Association to record the route and get the international code, which will include major flight booking engines.

The price of the return ticket will cost $209.30 for adults, $172 for children (up to 5 years) and $169.92, retirees. Passage of the total, 35% are fuel taxes and airport services.

In 2011 when Aeroperlas made the last flight to Pedasi, 554 passengers used the frequency, while in 2010 there was a movement of 403 passengers. Earlier this year, the company Pinnacle Properties SA completed the construction of the terminal Justiniano Montenegro in Pedasi. The project invested $46,000 million, and built a runway thousand meters long and 15 meters wide, the boarding platform and access road to the passenger terminal.
